Just in the shop is this awesome 74-inch wooden airplane propeller from the Sensenich Brothers. This piece, Model 74FK49 with Serial Number M1929, is rated for 85 horsepower and was originally used on the legendary Cessna 140 with a Continental C-85 engine.
When we got it, the propeller was in pretty rough shape, but we gave it a solid clean-up and used laser etching to make the original markings really stand out. We even added the Sensenich Brothers logo on each blade—something we’ve never seen done before, so this might be a first on the market! The original paint and brass leading edges were left untouched to keep that vintage feel.
It measures 74 inches long x 6 inches wide x 3-1/4 inches thick, so it's a serious statement piece.
This propeller would look amazing in any home, office, or aviation-themed space. Not only does it add some aviation history to the room, but it's also a great conversation starter for anyone who loves flying or vintage collectibles.
